Skimo Canada Fall Training Camp

2022 Canadian Skimo Team Fall Training Camp:

Squamish, British Columbia

September 30th – October 3rd, 2022

Who is invited:

All members of the Canadian National Ski Mountaineering Team are encouraged to attend! It is still possible to attend if you are not a member of the national team. If you are competitive at national-level skimo races and are interested in seriously pursuing competition nationally or internationally, please apply! We’ll let you know if it’s a good fit.

All attendees (including team members) must fill out the form below so we can prepare!

What to expect:

This training camp will be primarily running focused. We will be utilizing the terrain around Squamish and Whistler BC for longer run/hikes in the mountains. Expect the longest session to be approximately 4-6 hours of travel with ~2,000m of elevation gain. We will also be using the training facilities at Squamish Barbell to work on technique. This is primarily an endurance development event with a good dose of team socialization!

Please note that if you are unable to attend either the Friday or Monday, that’s not a problem. Come for whatever days you are available!

What’s expected:

There is no cost to participate unless we utilize either the Sea-to-Sky or Whistler Gondolas for access to a training venue. In this case, athletes will be responsible for their own tickets.

All participants MUST complete the form below to join. All participants will be required to sign a waiver.

Any further information will be communicated via email to anyone who has submitted a form!
